Yes it is.  Got lucky and found a Taylor demo day at a guitar shop not too far from me.  Picked it up last weekend.  It's a gift to myself for an upcoming accomplishment so I'm keeping it in the case until that is complete.  I did play it at the shop but not since it's been home.  Dang is that tough.
Ouch. That's tough. I don't know how you handle. I certainly wouldn't be able to hold myself...

Anyway, congrats!!

Yes it is tough, but it is a great motivator.

Thanks. Is yours Builder's Edition as well?
I understand that both yours and mine have the same starting date and yours went into the production line right after mine.
But what about models? Same model goes into production as a batch so that the neighboring serial number means the same model?
Does anyone know?

I’m glad to see these aren’t limited edition. That looks so great, bet it sounds even better. I play a couple of songs that hit notes that kind of “thud” on my current Taylors so it would be fun to try a V brace sometime. Think I would wait for a GC though before I look too hard.
Enjoy that new instrument, glad you found your “best” finally.

Well I suppose that is overdue, although I did post in the NGD count sticky sans pics.  I'll try to do that tonight.  I kind of hate to pull it out since I'm committed to not playing it until I am due.  Tough enough as it is, holding it might be too much, lol.

Giraku,

Did you also try out the updated 914ce?  If so how did you feel it compared with the builder's edition?

Unfortunately, I did not. I would love to audition V-class 914ce. But my fear is that I might want to buy one. I just got K14ce BE...

Very nice. I have ordered one as well, and I want to trade in my Torrified Spruce/Koa 714ce Roadshow Limited for this guitar. But first I want to try it out and see if I like the tone.

Nice guitar.  I don't understand the positioning of the strap pin on the back side of the guitar vs on the neck.

Nice guitar.  I don't understand the positioning of the strap pin on the back side of the guitar vs on the neck.

I'm pretty sure it's for comfort when playing the upper frets. The strap button on the neck makes it harder for me to play that's for sure, so I'm just guessing.

One of the design refinements is “a reshaped cutaway that flows smoothly into the heel” (copied from Taylor website).
I believe Andy moved the pin position so that the neck heel and the cutaway make one smooth surface.
