Pick ups or just a condenser mic?
« on: January 13, 2017, 11:15:50 AM »
With my absolutely pure acoustic 324, I've been thinking that instead of getting a pick up installed whether passive or active, I thought I might get a nice/nicer condenser mic.

Anyone have thoughts on this?  I just like the idea of keeping my 324 absolutely wireless...

If you're thinking recording: When I record (using garageband) I don't plug in. I use an MXL 4000 and plug it into an audio interface.

If you are going to record the 324, I'd recommend using a small diaphram condensor mic like this one for example: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KM184
If you are going to play the 324 live, then I'd get a pickup installed....or use a different guitar that has a pickup.
