It is not a guitar price discussion : I'm just trying to establish a relation between the cost of living in our respective countries and the price we end up paying fine american guitars here (France), as you would know if you read the thread...
l would like to know what a proportion of his income must a serious american musician spend to get a fine guitar, in relation to how much we do... I'm not selling or buying any guitar, : but it is something we miss when discussing (on french forums such as Be de B*) what is more relevant between buying a Lowden (Irish guitars), a Taylor or a guitar made by a local luthier for instance (have no need to know the price of a guitar in an american online store, and how much that is in euros - our currency -, as we do have Google
...).
Don't understand why prices had to be drawn away from this thread.

Be de B* is short for "Benoit de Bretagne", a nice forum dealing with guitar building, music and related topics, but in french unfortunately, then of little interest for all no good at french reading or understanding
