Taylor Trivia
« on: January 09, 2012, 05:59:47 PM »
Since we would like to increase this forum's exposure as well as our Facebook UGTF page (and Facebook has a really large audience to draw from), we are going to post a Taylor Trivia question over in our Facebook UTGF page then a few days later the answer will be posted here. We will try to aim for a couple of questions per week. Hopefully the cross-posting will bring us some new members!

Keep watch as the first Taylor Trivia question will be posted over there shortly! The official answer will be posted here in a few days. :)

Nope. :(

I have Bob's book but haven't yet had the time to read it. Since the Cindy inlay is named after his wife, is there any reference to the year he married? I certainly don't know if the year the Cindy inlay was first used has any significance such as an anniversary, or if he just created the inlay sometime after they were married.

Is that a hint?

(I did cheat a bit and got my answer from a an old post on AGF, quoting and even older post by Bob himself; but, as 'cheats don't prosper', it was wrong anyway.)

hi Cindy,
i'm sorry but i don't seem to understand the 'qusetion' ???     ;)      :)

but seriously, i'm just needing a bit of clarification -
the way i read it is you're asking what the year the Cindy inlay was introduced on a standard model,
rather than the first year the Cindy inlay was ever seen  (i am hoping that i am reading it correctly)

Richard Dawson, Drew Carey or Alex Trebek could be strolling in any time now :D

hmm ... i think i hear music playing ;D

sometimes, even Alex's response could be kind of 'harsh' ...
i'm sorry ... WRONG  :o
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

I actually think the inlay came before the name.

My understanding is that Bob and Kurt were at NAMM in Chicago, and someone asked Bob what the name of the inlay was. He said it didn't have a name. When told "Well, it has to have a name", he named it after his wife.

Not certain of the year, though.

No, no hint. I don't know if the year has any special significance or not.

That's interesting! :)

Umm Michael, you want to weigh in here and clarify the question, please? ;D
