Hi from California
« on: November 28, 2016, 08:01:40 PM »
Hey! I've been something of a Taylor-obsessive since I was 15 and played my uncle's 510, and I've been saving up to buy one ever since. Here we are, thirteen years later, and I buy a used GS Mini. It plays great of course, but I'm not satisfied, so I go and find a 110-GB on Craigslist, that plays fine-ish. Then, just last week, it rained (in Los Angeles, no less) so hard that my roof leaked, ruining my second laptop, a bunch of old vinyl records, and the 110-GB. So I collect my renter's insurance money and head out to pick up a brand new 224ce-k DLX. (I planned on getting a 114ce, but ...).

So that's where I am. The guitar is gorgeous and sounds incredible, and I just can't wait for it to really open up. Playing it pretty much every day so I can get there as quick as possible.

Happy to hear you have the oppurtunity to get yourself a new 224.  Very sorry to hear about all the troubles that surround the acquisition.

Welcome to the forum Antagonasty, hope you enjoy your new Taylor.
