Any guesses on the '12 Spring Ltd offerings?
« on: January 08, 2012, 11:29:00 PM »
Anyone have any hunches or inside info on what will be in the 2012 Spring Limited lineup?
Looks like they've been doing some interesting things with all-hardwood guitars (koa, mahogany) in recent years, and usually a 12-fret in there somewhere.

I'm mulling over getting a 12-fret BTO myself, but now that we're almost rounding the corner on winter I wonder if I should wait and see what the Ltd's have to offer in that dept.
When does Taylor generally release the lineup details, and when do the guitars hit stores?
Thanks, -K

Hi. I was thinking about waiting for the Spring 2012 Ltd line-up, but decided to go with a 412CE Fall 2011 Ltd. Very happy with that choice. I guess NAMM may see an announcement of their new line? When I asked that question via their Facebook page, I was told "January". So, I guess with NAMM on 19-22 January, that will be when they announce the new line-up.

Happy days.

Bill

congrats on the 412ceLTD, Bill
i like the CV bracing & the appointments on the Fall 11 400s ... very nice :)

if you happen to have a pic of 2 of your guitar, i'm sure we'd love to see it :D

i seem to remember sometime back in late february or early march was about the
time when the Spring LTDs were revealed (09), as Winter NAMM usually shows the
entire line up, new models & other changes, if any, such as the acoustic series back in 07

i'd like to guess cedar/tasmanian blackwood 400s, sitka/macassar 700s & redwood/cocobolo 800s
but it's more of a wish or, more realistically, a dream - i also replied in Raven's thread, posted earlier, &
there are other responses to check out there as well ... a cedar top Mini or 100/200s might be cool too :)

I am wondering if they are ready to pop out the first true classical to try after their classical building workshop.....may be a bit early to pull the trigger on that one but a possibility. Would like to see them try a deep bodied OM...with short scale.

+1 :)

i'm also hoping the deep body DN will be added to the BTO options -
i can only imagine what an adi/mahogany with adi CV could sound like :o
