I wonder if it's possible to get extra TRCs from Taylor?  I've got one that's quite a bit lighter than the rosewood overlay on my 420-R and want to get a darker one.  I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask them, but I thought I'd just post here the question here first.

They sell things that aren't even listed on their web site (like the Truss Rod screws) so I wouldn't be surprised if they do. If it isn't finished, I wonder if a little lemon oil would darken it a tad? I say that because my GA3 has a light stripe on the fretboard, and using lemon oil for routine conditioning did darken it up slightly. ???

Here are a few pics of my Bill Nichols TRC.  I sent him a picture of my tattoo and he made it.  I was very impressed with what he can do!

I wasn't so keen on the plasticky trc and headstock on the GS mini, and there's plenty of cheap alternatives in ebony, rosewood and koa etc. Right now I have rosewood on, though here it is with koa, also with koa tuner pegheads.

Thanks! I asked Bill if he could create an angel based on the following angel hanging from my car's mirror. I think he captured it beautifully. :) Sorry the pic is so small, but it's the only one I have.

Steelerboy that's a cool TRC. Is it base on the Dire Straits Song Money for Nothing?

Thanks Satsuki, but no it is not based on "Money for Nothing".  My 616ce is green (see the "show us your pics thread") so I thought it would complement it well.

Just got my new Glossy Figured Koa TRC from Shark Inlay!! I wanted it to be plain and showcase the wood and boy did that work out! @ weeks and a reasonable price.

It seems to shimmer and change pattern in different light. Of course the guitar it is meant for is two weeks away from coming home!!
