Hi guys,

It's interesting. I might want to get one for me as well.

Does he do international shipping as well?
Yes, I am in the UK. He is shipping to me. Contact him for a quote.

Glad to see you finally got a 'hoot' owl TRC... it's cool. Tell me, are those standard tuners on you mini? I love that oval shape.

Is the 3 hole TRC standard across the Taylor line now do you know?

Thanks! It makes me happy. It's not the finest piece of work, but it fits my knockaround Mini very well. Not that I knock it around(!), but I do enjoy not feeling like I have to be as Very Careful with the Mini as I gladly am with my first love, my 512. After seeing this TRC in person, I considered having a matching one made for the 512, only on rosewood, but have decided not to. It's not quite what I have in mind for that one.

Those be standard. I'm glad you like them. :-)

I doubt it? I've only seen it on the Mini so far, and in fact was surprised to discover it to be so. As in, I hadn't even noticed it was three screws instead of two until I was ordering the TRC, and had to send the designer extra photocopies, etc. to make sure we got it right.

Indeed, I think I got a visualisation of what you wanted but I couldn't find an image that would provide a close enough starting point to bring it to fruition. I don't have the talent to start from scratch on something like that and can't bring myself to move forward if the end result is going to be a compromise.

Understood, entirely. It truly is the thought that counts, sometimes.  :)

With that and in other things, I often have a difficult time envisioning what I have in mind, let alone describing it to someone else who can create it out of my less-formed ideas and impressions. However, I tend to know it when I see it. I haven't seen it yet.

So frustrating, to have the nigglings of something without being able to imagine it well enough bring it to fruition, in my hands or another's. But when I finally do see something I hoped existed somewhere? Boom, baby.

As far as TRCs go, its hard to beat the artistry & beauty of some of what Bruce Petros offers.
Not inexpensive however.

This is the TRC that Capt. Bill Nichols did for my 914. Love it! He's a great guy, and an old friend. Highly recommended!

Love it!!! I might even consider one of these for myself! ;D

I know it comes from Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam. I've always wondered who decided to crop the original artwork and only show the hands? Anyone know when this was first done? :o

Every time I see the "Creation of Adam" hands I am reminded of the episode of "Cheers" when Diane dragged Sam to the art museum.  Back at the bar, when asked to name one work of art he saw that day he said, "Two Muscular Guys Touching Fingers".

I wonder if it's possible to get extra TRCs from Taylor?  I've got one that's quite a bit lighter than the rosewood overlay on my 420-R and want to get a darker one.  I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask them, but I thought I'd just post here the question here first.
