Self-made flamed maple on mine to match the bindings and create a "family trait".

Just ordered one from Bill Nichols Custom Inlay http://www.nicholsinlay.com/home.php. Design V32 (Truss Rod Covers: Other) - a good interpretation of the 'Cindy' design elements.

What have you guys started now? I may have to get several.

Thanks.  Bill

I don't know - yet. He will e-mail you a price once you let him know what you want. He's had a death in the family recently, so he might have a backlog of stuff to work on. I hear he isn't quick, but the quality is first class.

Edit 9 January 2012: Just been quoted US$xx plus postage. Seems reasonable to me. Delivery time is 6 weeks.

His backlog was 8 weeks one month ago. I've heard it has been as long as 12 weeks. I've heard of TRC's as low as $xx but mine will be $yy. (Whew!) It is not a terribly complicated design but I was very particular about the details.  You may be able to  find other sources that are cheaper and faster.  In the end I decided I wanted one made by Bill Nichols and didn't want to take chances.  I'm putting the name Diana in script on my TRC because I named it after my wife (who gave it to me for a 40th anniversary).   The 8 or more week delay was not a problem as I intend to keep both the guitar and wife much longer than that.

Hi guys,

It's interesting. I might want to get one for me as well.

Does he do international shipping as well?

I have been waiting about 7 weeks for a TRC and an Ebony pick guard for my GS Mini.

I can't wait to get them.
