Performance vs Advanced Performance bracing
« on: March 24, 2016, 12:22:37 AM »
Here are the differences that I have gathered so far:

AP has diagonal back braces, P does not.

AP has side braces, P does not.

AP is available on:
600 (Maple)
800 (Rosewood)
900 (Rosewood)
2014 Fall Limited 700 (Sassafrass)
2015 Guitar Center custom 500s (Quilted Mahogany and Blackwood).

P is available on:
500 (Mahogany)
2016 Spring Limited 400 (Rosewood)

If you have any further information, please feel free to share!

That's interesting...would love to AB two guitars, such as the 812 and the Spring LTD 412-r to hear the differences :)

My 2013 514ce has STD II bracing and the thing is so loud I almost need ear plugs.  I wonder if these changes in bracing effect cedar tops in the same way?
November 2013 Taylor 514ce ES2
November 2011 Taylor GS Mini Mahogany

I thought only the gc size had diagonal braces.
