'All I Want for Christmas' in minor key
« on: December 11, 2015, 11:13:49 AM »
Listening to this gives me the same reaction as though hearing nails on a chalkboard! What are your thoughts? (Side note: I wonder what Mariah Carey's reaction is/was when hearing it). :o

I had to stop listening before it finished, too. Definitely not my idea of a nice Christmas song. ;)

Well, it is their interpretation of a classic.  It is not one that I like, did not like the moment he started singing. then it went kaboom for me.
He who loses money, loses much; he who loses a friend, loses more; he who loses faith, loses all.

You made it twice as far as I did. Sorry, not my cup of tea.

thanks for sharing cindy 8)

kind of reminds me of this song (but this one still sounds 'cheerful')
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDWgsQhbaqU

i liked it -
it's different & i've heard other interpretations of other songs,
transposed or done with a slower, more methodical tempo

imho, just like if everyone played the same guitar,
life would be pretty boring without the unconventional

ymmv
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

Lol--the song you posted was MUCH more entertaining to watch--and it has a lively beat to it, too! :) Kind of reminded me of Halloween. ;)
