Immaculate 2015 Taylor 612ce First Edition with Adirondack bracing - $2899 $2599This First Edition cutaway Grand Concert celebrates the debut of our revoiced maple/spruce 600 Series. The tone has been refined to be richer, warmer and more complex, adding extra depth to the Grand Concert body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. Tone-enhancing strokes include a new back bracing profile, a torrefied (specially roasted) top that yields wonderfully aged tonal character, protein glues that optimize the tonal transfer, and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to enhance the acoustic resonance.
Together with a hand-friendly short-scale neck, the 612ce sounds and plays like a dream. A hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance. Featured appointments include new grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with grained ivoroid purfling, an ebony/grained ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, with Taylor’s stage-ready Expression System® 2 pickup onboard.
Exclusive First Edition features include Adirondack spruce braces for a splash of extra tonal output, a headstock inlay, a First Edition guitar label, and a commemorative First Edition nameplate on the deluxe hardshell case.
