 Just wanted to let y'all know I'm back home and remembered my password to the site. :) My dad is doing well. He went into an assisted living facility in Boone, NC on March 9th. I returned to work on May 4th. I'm still trying to process the 92 days I spent with my dad. Surreal comes to mind. Good to be back.

God bless you and your dad. It's good to hear he's doing well. My experience with Assisted Living Facilities is that they provide good care and give the  residents lots of activities to participate in. My mother in law is still at one that does a great job.....very caring. It gives lots of comfort to us. Hope things continue to go well. Welcome back......now, relax and take a deep breath........and play some music.

Welcome back codeblue, glad you got to spend the time with your Dad. My parents are in a facility with independent living as well as assisted and nursing care. It is a blessing knowing help is there if they need it while I travel for work. I am sure they will take great care of your Dad but that the time with you was the best thing that could happen for him. I saw your Father's Day post in the other thread, my sympathies, and I know Jacob is still loved and always will be. As a Dad my worst fear is losing a child but I know the real thing must be many times worse than I think it would be.
