I'm real fortunate to be taking lessons at a great place, in Concord, Strings and Things. Everyone there is friendly knowledgable and are certainly patient with new folks as well as those more experienced.

How did you get interested in building guitars before you could play one?  It's usually the other way around.  It was for me.
I built two from scratch then laid off for a few years.  Then I did a kit guitar to get me back into building.
