1) 12-string Grand Orchestra
2) 12-fret short-scale (24.7) Grand Orchestra
these could be interesting, imho, especially the 12 fret -
seeing that one the early prototypes for the GO was a 13 fret
maple made for zac brown, i think the 12 fret might be "the bomb" ... literally :o

1) I'd love to see a 12-string with regular 14-fret access, but in short scale:
     a) in GS body
     b) also in GO body
     c) cutaway available as an option

2) This is a bit unorthodox, perhaps, but I'd much rather have a longer-scaled GSmini.  Keep the same overall length, but make it either a 12fret or keep it at 14 and move the whole bridge back.  I like the dimensions and overall feel of the GSm, even the nut width is fine, but a scale length that splits the difference between where it is now and the current short scale would be nicer, IMHO.

Lots of requests for Ukes, I'd like to see one too.

At a recent road show, I asked the Taylor rep about the chances of a production Uke, seeing Andy Powers new influence at Taylor and the fact he made Ukes when he was on his own. I got an interesting answer, "Don't expect to see Ukes from Taylor anytime soon. You'll see an Archtop before a Uke." Then he kind of gave me a didn't hear it from me look and turned around on to the next guy waiting to speak to him. I wasn't sure if this was meant to be taken as a "It's gonna be a cold day..." statement or a sly hint. If you look at Andy's old web site, archtops were in his lineup.

I have liked a lot of the things I've seen in this thread. Good thing they aren't in production, I'd have some explaining to do to my husband.  ::)

based on the number designation Taylor has used in the past, & currently,
there are quite a few "openings" that could be "filled-in" with new models -
301 BT (3 pack), 305 BT, 306 BBT (2 pack), 307 BT
310, 312, 314, 315, 316, 318 *
320, 322, 324, 326 *, 328 *
354, 355, 356, 358 *, 364, 366 *, 368 *

* - maybe in the future, possibly ???

how about -
X09 - contour ("slope shoulder") dreadnought

X11 - between GC & GA
(GB ? nah, it'd be confused with gerry beckley or gigbag)
19 3/4" body length
15 1/2" body width
4 1/2" body depth

X13 - GA with GC body depth (OOOO)
or hybrid GA, with GC upper bout

X17 - between the GS & GO
(GQ ? uhmmm ... no)
20 5/16" body length
16 5/16" body width
4 13/16" body depth

X19 - with armrest & ribrest
("SuperJ" & "GrandJ" ... meh, "PerformanceJ" - PJ?, "CJ" contemporary jumbo ?)
20 3/4" body length
17 1/4" body width
5 1/4" body depth

X02 - concert uke
X03 - tenor uke
X04 - 7/8 size GA
X08 - 7/8 size GO

it's all about why you play ...

In no particular order, I'd like to see a ukelele, mandolin and 7-string guitar (add the low B string of the baritone guitar).  Since buying a Taylor baritone guitar a couple of weeks ago, I've been thinking a lot about trying a 7-string guitar.

A body shape in between GC and GA would be the perfect Taylor for me. Although I doubt Taylor would build something like that based on economic reasons (additional production line, etc.)

But, I would also love to see an All-Solid Wood GS Mini (now that would be feasible since the mold, equipment, etc. already exists). That would give the Martin 00 a run for its money.

when the "orchestra" model was announced, i thought the shape was going to be slotted between
the GC & GA, as is seems there would be very little room between the GA & GS, but there are
several things that could be done within the 000/OM/GC/0000/GA range, such as a deep body
GC or a GC depth GA (both which have been done as Customs), or a "fusion" between the two,
as andy powers has built such models, like hybrid auditoriums & small shoulder jumbos" -
aside from that, mandolins, archtops & hollow small body electrics expanding on the TXz line,
i'd expect them to appear as Taylor sees fit to phase them in, or not, in the future

also a T3z, 200 series acoustic bass, true classicals & maybe a production-based (tecate made?) amp ???
