May I join you Taylorians?

Hiya! I'm about to be a Taylor owner....for the 2nd time. Holden Village GS Mini on its way. I'm a lefty, so it will take 6-8 weeks. Good thing I have a stable of other guitars to keep me distracted til it arrives!

I have two dreads, but they are kinda big to play with much comfort for very long. I have an incredible small jumbo (Wechter) that is almost too nice for me to play at this point. I've only been playing for a couple of years. I have a Taylor Baby, my first guitar. Cute, but unsatisfying overall but good in a pinch. I have an Alvy parlor guitar, great for fingerstyle.

But I wanted another fun small body guitar in addition to the Alvy. So here comes the HV GSM. I've been by Holden Village on my way to the north end of Lake Chelan in central WA (I live in WA). At the north end of the lake is Stehekin, where backpackers go to begin their journey into the Cascades. Beautiful country. Beautiful Englemann spruce trees. So the HV GSM has special meaning for me.

Anyway, that's me. Glad to be here.

Carol....first met you over at the AGF. Glad you were patient in joining. Hope you can be a regular poster over here.....the folks here really are friendly and helpful. Hope we can see some pics of your HV GSM after you get it.

Hi Ellamom and welcome! I got my HV Mini a couple weeks ago and it is awesome. Way more sound than I expected even though I have GS Mini I have played for three years plus. I saw your post worrying about quality on another forum and must mention that most people receive theirs with no problem. Mine was in great shape and is opening up more every day.

Mine was in great shape too! Played great right out the box. Made it my own with Gotoh minis, ebony pins, black pick guard, and a custom TRC (on the way). Customizing those Minis is fun as heck! Welcome to the club!
