NGD was actually on March 10, but could not remember to buy camera batteries. ( Ha ha!  so maybe I should say NGY . . .New Guitar Year)  The 512 12 fret is all I expected it to be and more.  Besides its beautiful looks, it is a super sounding guitar with that "broken in sound" and plays easier than any acoustic I've ever owned or played.  I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great sounding 12 fret.  Taylor did a great job on this one!

Congratulations! IMO the Hog 12-frets are among the best guitars Taylor has to offer!

I envy you. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago. Like on all my Taylors (and certainly on this GC TF) I wanted to take off the pick guard. It went so smoothely with my other guitars that I was just a fraction of a second to eager with this one. A fraction of a second which I regret immensely. A piece of varnish broke of. My 512 is now in good hands at Taylor Amsterdam, but they already informed me that the guitar can't do anymore without a pick guard. A costly lesson... Nevertheless I can't wait till she is back because my first impressions were that I had bought a gorgeous sounding instrument.

So glad I could pick up my 512 TF today, beautifully restaured by Taylor. No scratch, no dent, no whatsoever - and best of all, no pick guard. Taylor Amsterdam did much more than I hoped for and expected.

One just can't go wrong with a Taylor cedar, IMHO; 12fret and small bodied is particularly nice.  And your mahog back is very sweet ...looks like one piece, can you confirm?  I love Taylor's 12F line and have yet to play one I didn't adore.  Congrats and enjoy that beauty! :D

I don't want to pre-empt the discussion but my hog back is one piece! And the sound is just gorgeous.
