recommendation for 914ce cedar top sale

Cedar and Redwoods (both Sinker and standard) are my very favorite top woods, for my lighter touch playing.

I agree with some of the other folks comments though, if headroom and volume is what you really need, Sinker is likely not what you really want, you want Sitka Spruce or ideally Adirondack Spruce.

I will admit that my sinker topped BTO with Adi bracing does have ample headroom for strumming, but it doesn't have that top shimmer that spruce typically provides. This guitar has a dark, whiskey voice, which I do appreciate as a stong contrast to most of my other GAs. In the end, the choice is yours. If I were you, I'd still try to hold on to that 914. I believe you would miss it after it's gone.

played a sinker top, adi braced rosewood back. sounds just like my 914ce, with just a tiny more headroom.

not much at all. it's very nice looking!
