I think the Mini-Ms look best w/o the pick-guard. Glad yours came off without a hitch. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone!
Marty, thanks for your insight on it. I do love it w/o the PG.

I like the look of your very clean GS Mini.  I also like the look of mahogany with a black pick guard.

Like this one.

I agree, if you are going to need/want a PG, the black Taylor PG looks really nice on the mahogany top. I'm making this my fingerstyle mini, so no PG for me. That way I can truly appreciate the top grains. That pic does look sharp!

This thread is certainly not helping me curb my desire for a 526e... not at all... especially after my best friend bought a first-edition 522e.

Hi Susie. Awesome guitar. Tell the mister he should probably build you another guitar/instrument storage cabinet...just in case. :)

Thanks Code, I am finding more creative ways to put new instruments into it. If all else fails, I told him we'll have to build a "lean-to" for it. In fact, with this mini, he asked if it was time for a "lean-to" yet. The cabinet has 3 shelves on top, where I currently have 6 instruments. a few of the smaller instruments have been evicted from the cabinet and just sit on tables outside the cabinet.

That's because we are a big group of enablers!!!!

Which leads to the next quote...

we all seem to be in 'Hog heaven here lately. recently picked up a 324 and a 000-15M... 526ce is next... none of my 'Hogs have a cutaway yet.

I'm already a mahogany addict to begin with, so this is tipping me over the edge LOL! My first Taylor was a '00 514ce with an engelmann top and Florentine cutaway. That moved on into the GS5e-12 I mentioned when I first joined this board and my '13 516e Fall LTD. My nylon is a '12 GAce-n with quilted sapele, but it's close in terms of looks if not sound... ;)

The GAS for a 526e is overwhelming...
