Wow, it looks brand new. NICE!!! Congratulations on your guitar to end all GAS! I love the look of no pickguard and cutaway, especially with the abalone rosette. How does she sound?

It is true TaylorGirl, I will never need another guitar ever again.  GAS I will never get again, I am sure of it.  ;)

The sound is a little different that standard EIR.  I think it sounds very much like my Cocobolo rosewood.
I love the cross silking on the top

VERY purty, mgap!!! 8) It's so beautiful, and if its sound is amazing, then no wonder you won't need another guitar! Have fun and enjoy! :)

sweet 8)
the figuring of the backstrap & heelcap, the detailing of the BWB purfling & the top grain ...
i really miss the appointments of the 07-11 500 & 700 series :-\

the current 500s have a nice discount to reflect the "de-ornamentation" &
it'd be nice if a natural finish 700 was close in $ to the 500s, but there were
no X18s available back then (07-11), so i guess it's all relative, depending  -
plus, if it were possible to order a Custom with the same specs as the 09 700SLTD madi,
it would be the same $ as  a K2Xce with AA back & sides, bone nut & saddle & gotohs :o

if it does sound a bit similar to your 814 coco,
you could  always add a 08 714ceLTD cedar/koa -
i'll bet it'd get along great with your 514ce WW too ;)

thanks for sharing the pics :)
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

Cedar/Koa would be a nice combo.  As you know this last guitar is the last guitar that I need, but I sure would like to give cedar and Koa a test drive.  "The only Koa I have tried was at the factory, it was a beautiful K24 with AA Koa, sounded great was stunning to look at.

Beautiful, congrats.  I had one of these Ltd's (a 710ce), and I let it go...worst mistake I ever made.  Don't let it go ever, and enjoy!

I also had one of these before, it was a 716ce.  I loved the sound, but did not like the size.  When I found this one I had to have it.

Congratulations mgap!

That is really nice-looking Madigascar rosewood on the back. I like the fact that it is light enough to show off that beautiful grain. Very tasteful in appearance all around. Over time, it will be interesting to hear your impressions about the difference in tone as compared to your cocobolo guitar. In the meantime, relax and enjoy in good health!

I saw one back in a Taylor Roadshow I attended.  It just had bloodwood binding and it was the one I liked best during that night.  Congrats!

Yup ...lovely guit! Congrats and enjoy!  :D
BTW, madi is one of those species I've never played.  How would you compare its voice to rw/spruce?
