GAS again
« on: March 30, 2014, 08:05:03 PM »
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my 2014 Taylor 810 CE!   The ETA for them to arrive at the dealer is April 4th, and then shortly thereafter, I should have it. I lead on our worship team each week, oftentimes without a bass, so this should especially help those instances.   I currently play a 410CE with my 414CE as a backup, should I happen to break a string! :P   Our lead vocalist (my better half) says that the 414CE is too bright to suit her ear and voice. She much prefers the sound of the 410.  :)

Looking forward to the new Expression System 2 as well.  I'm also not telling anyone on the team to see how long it takes them to figure it out!   Let's see if the sound, variegated fret board or the new style pick guard gives it away. Could be interesting........

Will definitely post photos!  So sad the 414ce will need to go they all play soo good but I gravitate to the Dreadnought sound..... I will  Email tomorrow to see if they have any new updates, I heard the 814ce has a long wait. My better half said I'm just like a kid in a candy store!!!

That's pretty exciting! I'm a nervous wreck waiting for my GS Mini... I can only imagine--I'd have to be hospitalized waiting for an 800 Series. Hang in there!!!

I have the new 818e First Edition, and I am really pleased with it. As would be expected of all Taylors, it is very comfortable to hold, the build is first rate, and most importantly, the tone is just what I was hoping for. The bottom end is rich but not brassy or metallic sounding. It really gas a lot if depth.

That's fantastic I was also considering the 818e trying to decide 818 or 810?????? The wife watched me go back and forth between these two guitars and noticed I kept going back more to the 810.  She liked It with her voice and she told me She was just going to order it if I didn't. The boss wins/ I win!!!

Taylor are always underrated as far as their dreads are concerned.  The couple of dreads that I've played were just wonderful.  Congrats on the NGD!  8)

We checked on the status of the 810ce and they told us it might be in the truck in the loading dock but they won't find out till Monday.   If it isn't then the order has been pushed back till April 18.........I'm crossing my fingers, I was hoping to lead out for Easter with the new guy.  I do love the sound of the 410ce it has opened up so much in the last year, very nice growl but still .......  :'(
