A Rather Curious GS Mini Observation

As of this morning, Monday 03/24, and in searching only the used category, there are five left hand GS Mini's listed for sale on evilbay as compared to four right hand models.
Hmmmmm.......
Now to me this could mean two things....... There are either a heck of a lot more lefties out there than we realize or the Mini is not as coveted by the left handed players as the right.
Again, not a scientific study, just a curious observation.

At the risk of serious thread drift (probably too late already) I have always wondered why the standard playing position is referred to as "right handed".  The standard RH position makes me use my weaker left hand to do the more critical fretting tasks, and the strong right hand for the coarser task of strumming.

Captain Jim, wouldn't that come from over the port side rail rather than out of left field?

Because you can fret all you like, but it isn't playing until you engage the guitar with your right hand.  Or maybe because most Guitar Centers are on the right-hand side of the road.

Depends on what direction you're facing!!      For those who are not mariners, that is a joke.     There is a reason for port and starboard on a boat, instead of left and right.  One one scenic cruise boat I used to drive, we would have a NPS Ranger give a talk... this young lady would always say, "On the right you will see..." when she was at the front of the cabin, facing back, towards the people.

"That's your right, miss - their left.  That's why we use port and starboard onboard a boat."

"But doesn't that differ depending which direction you are facing?" she asked.

it's my understanding that the guitar was first made by a lefty... he designed it this way so that he could use his dominant left hand to do the more intricate fretting..... apparently, we all play it backwards !

 I'm left-handed. You learn to adapt in a right-handed world. The Watch Thing: I wear my watch on my right wrist. I like the screw and feature buttons facing me. 1. Because of my job. 2. Because I'm left-handed and can easily manage the functions. If all else fails, reverse the strap(s).
