Just sharing with my Taylor Brethren (and Sistren):
A Taylor 12-fret has been on my wishlist for a few years now ... up until now for one reason or another, I haven't been able to work out a purchase ... however, a few days ago I went to my local shop to hopefully see an 812ce 12-Fret First Edition listed on their website only to find out that they have had 2 of these so far and neither lasted more than 3 days at the shop. So much for being there on day 4 ...
Anyway they have one more of these slated to arrive in a few weeks ... I mulled it over for a while, played a 712ce 12-fret they currently had in stock and then decided to finally pull the trigger ... I put down a deposit to reserve the incoming 812ce (with option to turn it down if for any reason it doesn't work for me) ...
So here's hoping this is the 12-fret for me ... the demos and pictures all seem sweet from a long-time fingerpicker's perspective ... now I must decide if I need to sell one of my other acoustics ... that might just be the hardest part of this transaction ...
