K26ce for Flatpicking?
« on: March 05, 2014, 06:52:52 PM »
I realize it's not a conventional choice but how do the good folks here feel the new K24ce would fare as a flat picker given some playing time(as all Koa needs)? Thanks,Mike S.

You probably don't realize that you mention the K26 in your thread title, but K24 in the body text.

Dennis,You probably don't realize my mind is shot!  :)  The thread is intended to ask about the K26ce as in the title.

imho, i think it could  very well depend on the particular example & year model of the k26ce -
i played a CV braced k24ce with bone nut & saddle that i felt that would more than hold it's own in
a flat picking situation, over a NOS 08 k26ce & perhaps throwing on bluegrass gauge PB set on the
'24 might have given it an additional car-length or two lead, on top of it already being "out-in-front"

if the body shape is comfortable, & if a cutaway is not a necessity, perhaps a "show-down" between the k26ce & a k28e :-\
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...
