What's up with the trim on the EI guitar?  It reminds me of the old Tron movie.
i guess it's just an option that was chosen for a BTO -
it looks kind of neon-ish in the pic & it sort of reminds me of this

red purfling is used on the 900s & green is available, but i think that binding may  need to be wood -
dark royal blue purfling might have looked pretty cool on this one, especially around the fretboard & headstock

the dark area of the burst is pretty close to this shade

some of the straighter grain, but still not super-tight or dark, sounds pretty good to me too :)
