Six months on from my last post I have found that the move to 13's on my Taylor 214ce, the snapping issue is gone! That being said the amount of fret wear is astonishing! I have also just swapped the pickup for a fishman infinity matrix using the truplug system. The difference is unbelievable, I can't recommend it highly enough. It only took 1 hour to fit, and I only tool I needed was a flat blade screwdriver! The only issue was I had to add a 2mm shim under the pickup as the Taylor pickup is considerably thicker than the fishman!
