Hello

Joining for help picking out guitar and case for 16-year-old son's 30-day trip to Ethiopia, Africa.  He's played 3 hours daily for more than 3 years and has a full-size Martin dreadnought that is too big, and seems too expensive, for a trip like this.  They will b e traveling by jet liner and local rented van with driver.  Want something with good tone despite smaller size.  Must be compatible with a suitable hard case we can easily get.  Probably should assume that guitar would be checked baggage for air liner legs of trip.  We like Taylor gs mini if a hard case is available (skb shallow roundback acoustic).

Welcome to the forum.

You will probably have to invest in a dedicated travel case at an expense equal to or greater than a GS min.
