that is a beautiful mental image you left me Doc. i'm sitting in norther NY looking down at 3 inches of ice with snow slightly camoflaging it. i'd rather take my chances with sharks( and i understand that all of them don't reside in the water where you live) than go running in this stuff. when was the last time you had to spend 2 hours attacking your own car with a hammer just to get the door open?
So I was born and raised in NYC and did college in upstate NY and then med school in Erie, Pa... I know what you are experiencing and it sucks.
But here is a picture to make you a little jealous, it's a picture straight from my balcony taken about 5 minutes before I hit the post button... and yes if you look closely you can see the USS Arizona Memorial just behind the bridge 1/3 of the way from the right hand border of the picture.
