Why don't you rack up as many posts as you can, and I'll keep watch for you!  ;)

I was wondering that myself, but figured someone more qualified than I should ask it......

Thanks, Michael

honestly, it's not my intent to put up a 'cheap post' thread, but i feel that any post that
provokes a thought or some humour is worthwhile & has inherent value (even if just a little) ...

the only unworthwhile question is the one not asked, i reckon

More than two.
I have enough, but can always make room for more.

Michael, you have been promoted to Jr. Member!  What number put you to the next level?  50?

And you now have 2 yellow squares above your avatar. It must be a ranking thing. Congrats on being the first to break new ground!  8)

Will this count as a cheap post to get my count another number higher   ???  I really had wondered the same thing, so I thank you for the inquiry...

Most forums do post the number of posts by members, for whatever reason. One of the best things about UMGF is that there aren't any post counts listed, which I really like. There doesn't seem to be a lot of inane posts just to build up you count....

Oh, glad to be here, seems like the site is off to a great start...

welcome Joe M :)

that's interesting -
post count doesn't show up, even if you click on a user's profile either ???
just wondering if there is a search function to show all posts made by a user

imho, it is the quality of the posts, not the quantity -
to me, the count is sort of like an odometer (in a way),
in that it kinds of keeps track of where you've been

the number of posts doesn't amount to a hill of beans, in my book -
i was an active member of a forum for close to 9 years with around 2, 300 posts &
i've seen others there for less than 1/2 that time with over 8 times that number,
with each one having some kind of revelant information, input or suggestion

granted, i've seen some forums that have a thread (sticky) just for 'cheap posts' -
i don't quite understand that one, but to each their own (whatever floats your boat)

good to have you here

enjoy :D

I think some forums have the ability to turn that feature off to cut down on the inane posts.
Hee-hee...just checking out one of the features here. :P

Post counts really don't mean anything other than the fact that someone has posted on a forum that many times. Unless there are prizes for reaching certain levels, of course. How 'bout a new 914 for reaching the 10,000 level? I could do that by midnight with the right incentive!  :D
