Red, the good news is: decent 5-15 watt tube amps are getting less expensive.

Have you tried playing the new Strat through one of your "cheap" 10 amps with the addition of some of your new effects pedals? Just wondering.  ;D

I believe I have resolved part of the problem with the Fender Acoustasonic 100.

The Fender Acoustasonic amps are probably set up for a fishman pickup that puts out a stronger signal.
The Taylor ES system is does not put out enough signal to drive the amp properly.
Neither do any of my Stratocasters (No matter what the amp setting is on).

But, when I add the Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer inline, it opens this amp up quite nicely.

Much happier with the amp now that I can get some volume out of it.
