No body guard needed,
« on: November 21, 2012, 09:39:31 PM »
In life, don't love what you have, love what you do.

Take this innocent, beautiful, young woman, shouting out; She is excited about the sun and the rain, about her discovery , her awareness; about sharing her peace and her love.
No pick guard to protect her..
No need, she was standing in a cow pasture.
Her guitar, left the stage, unscratched.

One month before this historic event, she would have been shouting at the sun, the cows and the rain.
No one would have remembered..

It is now 43 years after "Woodstock" and many of us can still hear her shouting.
She was out-standing in her field..

We saw her again, two years later, playing the same old guitar.
Once again she is on stage, singing to all of the beautiful people, many of whom missed her "out in the field" performance.

Melanie was all about peace and love and understanding.
She was all about sharing..

Love is so complicated.
Life is so complicated,

Sometimes you need to feel protected.
Sometimes you just need to open up.

Love people, not things....

Be playful...
Melanie is still just as innocent and free as she was back then..

Pick-guards,
Body Guards,
Do they hide the beauty?
or do they protect?

Some say: Bring out the beauty of the wood, some say protect it.
The best way to bring out the beauty, is to let it sing.

How about our future Wood stock, is it sustainable?
I believe it was.
I believe it still is.

Bring out the beauty
Strum it hard, or pluck at it with a tender hand..

Just do it with love...

Let the Resin flow..
Let it resonate.

Share in the moment.
Share in the emotion.

If you remember the 60's
Let's keep Woodstock alive...
To our Childens, Childrens, Children.
Love our freedoms and our friends.

Wood produces good vibrations...
Knock on wood..

Peace. Love and Music..

You do not always have to be on your guard..
Pick up your guitar and pick at it for a while.

See if it does not increase in value..

So, after watching the videos, (or reviewing her other songs and messages), was Melanie a simple innocent girl caught up in the moment, or was she a complex and brilliant song writer?

I remember when she got a brand new set of roller skates.

We needed her.

She connected with a whole generation.
She generated that connection, through her guitar, her voice, her emotion and her innocence...

She offered us a balance between the soft, naive life of discovery and the hard realities of Janice Joplin's.

Janice freely gave up a "Piece of her heart" to Bobby Mcgee.
Janice gave him a "Piece of her mind" just before they split.

Both Janice and Melanie were wild.
Both were on a Journey of discovery,
Janice stumbled on the road to recovery..

Both gave us something that we needed.
One was electric, the other acoustic.
