As with anything new and fresh, there's no pretense - no self-importance and no snobbery. It's fun and relaxing - speaking of which, I've gotta go play a guitar!

I love being able to come to a place and read about Taylors, look at the photos, and learn about the owners.  We all come from different walks in life, but it is obvious we all have a love for guitars.  I feel a positive tone is presented here in each posting.  Everyone seems to be pretty much relaxed and eager to talk guitars and to be helpful

i like feeling of community, that everyone is friendly & is willing to help one another -
it gives this place 'warmth' & i believe that people who find us truly feel 'at home'

i also like the fact that Josh is open to, & asking for, input from us to help make any
changes that would make the place even more inviting & comfortable to hang out in

Yup, y'all nailed it!  You fine folks and Josh's ardent desire to make this a truly community forum (while he does all the work, wow!) really make this an easy place to love!  Let's face it, "knowledge" can be found, but cammeraderie stems from the heart.  Oh yeah, and all these beautiful Taylors certainly help

I know we're growing fast, but one of the things I'm enjoying most is the intimate atmosphere. As of a few moments ago, the most ever users we've had online here at one time is 31. We get to know each other better with this size group. When I joined the former Taylor Guitar Forum back in February of 2002, we already had some 1,200 members, though there was still a pretty strong sense of community. That's harder to maintain as a forum grows, and now that the AGF has nearly 62,000 members, the community feel seems to be limited to those who have either been there a long time or who post quite often. That's not bad, I suppose, but it's a very different venue from the UTGF.

I'm thinking the difference is a lot like a small coffee shop versus a good sized stadium. Both are good, but in very distinct ways.

i think it is a comfortable forum to hang out in, similar to the agf. i am glad to see the activity is steady and lots of responses for such a young forum.

Like many, I've been on many forums that centered on a hobby, sport or specific interest, when it gets heated the competition gets trying and many of us will leave. I say up front here cause I'm new here, it's really clear from the outset that women are very welcome here and I have to say I'm getting a lot of really good help from both genders and that's pretty thrilling but the other thing it's pretty obvious that it's about a love for guitars and the playing. Guitars are works of craft that often reach a state of art, what a thrill to be exposed to so much enthusiasm for such a thing. Then add all of that together with the music, I've noticed that people with all levels of skill are welcomed here and encouraged, this is sooo cool (my generation invented that word so it's okay if this old lady uses it lol).
