i should have clarified & said 'work-in-progress' -
when i bought it, it had a timing chain slap (plastic guides), so a used engine was installed

i let someone that i 'knew' drive it & the front ended up 'meeting' a f150 :(

it has a 'cold-air' intake & 'performance' exhaust, rides on 17" 05 mustang 'bullitt' wheels
(the bolt-pattern, width & offset are perfect) & needs tokico 'blue' struts to match the rear shocks ...
currently faded black (& white), but it will be resprayed in it's original dark gray metallic paint scheme

... mho, it's only a 'race' if you're not sure you'll win ;)

You, sir, are a car enthusiast!
I'd like to put a dark tint on mine (white exterior) but the laws here are fine-happy on tints. I think the legal limit is 40% or 35%. I am also looking at cold air intakes. I saw one, takanka(?), that supposedly is supposed to up my HP by 13. I am fine with the factory rims for now. That reminds me, I saw a dude on youtube who put TRON-like wheels on his 7 series beamer. I thut it looked cool but a lotta people were bashing it.

1981 Corvette
...and 2004 Victory Kingpin

Jim
nice :)

gotta have something with a roof on it when it's cold & wet out -
does the 81 have the L81 in it ???, or perhaps a little more (like a ZZ4) ;)

Thanx. Yes, it has an L81. Not the hughest performing 350 on record, but I warmed it up a bit with Hooker Headers, customer x-pipe 2 1/2"exhaust, Edelbrock Manifold and Carb, and MSD Ignition system - all while completely disconnecting the ECM. Now it runs and sounds like a corvette is supposed to. It's not a rocket, but it moves pretty good and is all I need. It has only 26k miles on it and still smells new. I am the second owner and have had it since 1985. Even with the roof, it never goes out in the rain. This is my daily driver. It accomodates me and all my guitars, plus the wife ;-)...

cool :)
i'll bet the mods 'woke-it-up' a good bit, as SBCs respond well -
i had an 84 Z28 L69 4 bbl & it was the only 5.0 V8/auto (700R4)
that would break loose on the 1-2 shift ... it was a lot of fun :D

Forgot to add the wife's Mustang...
nice :)

i was wondering if there was an event going on there -
i see a 3 corvettes, a trans am, a cherokee with 'rear door delete'
& a m sedan & a silver 'coupe' parked way back there too :D

There was also an original 65 Shelby GT, a new Boss 302 & Shelby GT500, a '69 Chevelle, a '64 AC Cobra, and an all original
'63 split window Corvette.  It's my employers annual United Way auto show.

there was someone who lived in town that had a black 63
split window, 327, mech fi, with electric exhaust cut-outs

those were some nice rides ;D

does the mustang have an aftermarket exhaust ??? (the tip looks 'different')

Yes, changed the stock exhaust to a Flowmaster system.

OHhhh, you mean THAT kind of auto. I thought you meant the Gibson auto-tuner guitar! http://www.gibson.com/RobotGuitar/  Sorry! ;)

I don't have enough money to be anything but an appreciative car-show-goer, though I have a relative with a very nice Stingray. More pictures, please!

I'm more of a bike guy.
First MC was a 1984 Honda VT700C "Shadow".  Nice bike, but my 6'1" frame is a bit pretzel'd up on it.
Then I got a 2007 Triumph Bonneville T100 (865cc).  Really love this bike!

Also have a 1986 Honda Helix 250cc maxi-scooter, it's actually my wife's, but I got it from a friend.
Rounding out the stable is a 1974 CB550K, rescued that out of a garage that it sat in for 20 years.  Put in a new battery, stripped and cleaned the carbs (and replaced seals/gaskets), dumped the old gas (full tank!  no rust!) and added new, and it fired right up!  This is my gravel road bike, it's so nice and light, it's a blast!
-K
very 8) Kris,
a buddy of mine was considering a Triumph Daytona 675 -
he sent me a link to video clip for an aftermarket pipe/muffler (i lost it :( ) &
to my ear, it sounded like a very well-tuned, quad cam european sports car :o

I too ride a Victory.  I have a 2005 KIngpin that I have done a few things to.

Here's a '57 BSA M21 I used to have.  600cc single.  I sold it three years ago to a local friend.  He finished it up and sold a year ago on ebay to someone in California.

I'll play.

I've always loved Italian cars. I think I first fell in love with a Ferrari 250 LM back in 1964, reading Car Life magazine.  When I got older I had a couple of FIAT 124 Spyders, beautiful Pininfarina bodies. And then finally I realized that a certain car brand had become affordable, and I bought this:

I called this my family car because it had a small back seat and I could carry my two sons!
