JP Armrests
« on: October 18, 2012, 11:08:48 AM »
I am looking at getting a John Pearse armrest for my wife's mini and perhaps for my 414. Has anyone added these to a Mini or X14 model? What was your opinions? My wife nicked the edge of her mini at lessons and it is right where her arm rests. I can reduce the sharpness of the nick but thought this might be a better way of eliminating the annoying spot as well as hiding it a bit.

I'd say use a Slimline on the 414 and a Slimline Jr. on the mini.

Sorry if this is choir preaching but the JP armrests are great but realize they sit on top the guitar unlike the comfort a built in armrest provides. I did not find them to make playing more comfortable. The slim ones are the correct choice.

I think the arm rests are terrible looking.  I bought a guitar that hard one on and thankfully I was able to remove it immediately!  Just my two cents!
