stopped by the local music store & saw some of the Fall LTDs
412ce-FLTD

maple rosette & binding

gloss ebony headstock, maple Taylor inlay

maple fretmarkers

w-i-d-e grain cedar top

GAce-FLTD (sapele/ivoroid headstock inlay)

sapele/ivoroid fretmarkers, purfling & binding

rosette & soundhole binding

european spruce top

pomelle sapele

last one

saw a GCce-FLTD 12 fr, 410, 414, GCce-N FLTD & 414ce-N FLTD there too, but
to me, these 2 stood out the most (the GA aesthetically & the 412ce tonally) ...
i'm guessing that the 412ce won't stay there for too much longer

They are looking real nice, I love the pomelle sapele back and sides.  Looks a lot like quilted maple.

i have to stay away from the guitar shops for awhile.
in two weeks the taylor road show and the fit shows hit the hawaiian shores.  i must stay away...hahaha.

Just picked up my 412ce FLTD yesterday!  It's very close to what I would have ordered as a BTO (cedar top, short scale, maple binding and wedge).

Yes, I made the 3 hour drive to Dave's.  I used to live in LaCrosse (now in Pewaukee, outside Milwaukee), so I always enjoy getting back. 

Great selection of Taylors, Martin, Gibson (acoustic and electric) and Fender Custom Shop.  And his 'museum' upstairs is fantastic! 

They are very fair to deal with, and really nice.

Congrats on the NGD Randy!  She's a beaut!  I've always loved the thin wedge on the back...especially when there's such a nice contrast between the dark and light wood.
