GS Mini....is this a setup issue?
« on: June 08, 2012, 11:30:31 PM »
I tune the guitar without a capo.  I then capo the 2nd fret.  Strings 1-5 are fine, the low E is way out....sharp.

Are you using a Kyser capo?  With me 4,5,6 go sharp, but 3,2,and 1 are ok when using a Kyser capo

Can you try it with a capo that uses an adjustable tension?

The Mini might have a lower string tension to start with (is it short scale?), and the Kyser spring is really strong and it might be over-clamping the low E.

Just a thought.
