National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
« on: December 16, 2011, 07:54:43 PM »
Ok, I love this movie.  We have a tradition in my family that every Thanksgiving night we watch it as a family.  I've actually watched it so many times over the years I 've worn out 2 dvd's.  Who else loves this movie?

I too enjoy this movie.  Afgter wearing out two DVD's, do you know the lines of each character yet  ;D  With that said, I remember when our daughter was small and the movie Lion King came out.  She watched it so much that I just about knew the lines to all the characters/animals...  And, I use to work with two men that loved John Wayne movies.  At times they would start spitting out lines from the movies and roll playing.  Alright, I've strayed far enough and it is time to move right along....

Is your house on fire, Clark?

Why's the carpet all wet, Todd?!
I don't know, Margot!!

I can do the whole movie; drives my wife crazy.  The first time she watched it with my family when we first started dating, she had a look of terror in her eyes.  She probably thought we were in some Griswold cult LOL  We quoted the whole movie from start to finish.  Imagine 20 people in a room laughing at a movie they've seen a hundred times like it's the first ;D

My favorite movie of all time - my family watches it every year.  I know I've seen it at least 100 times.  "It's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year".

I have two DVD versions and just picked up the BluRay this fall.  I was disapointed though that it still only contains a Stereo soundtrack.  I would have thought that they would do a 5.1 audio track for it by now...

So just set up another TV/DVD behind the couch, press "play" simultaneously, and *WALLAH*.... Surround sound!
