Wow! Some people will do anything to make a few bucks (or several thousand). I feel sorry for anyone who falls for that and pays $50K for a used Taylor 410ce. I'm always amazed when people say that something has the image of Jesus because there really isn't any historical records of what he looked like and most artists depictions of him make him look more like a caucasian than a Jew. Sad.

Well, a couple of things.

First, I would not be the least bit surprised if someone dropped that much for it. For them, though, they're not buying a guitar, they're buying an image of Christ which has occurred naturally. Second, it really hasn't occurred naturally, as the wood had to be manipulated and worked, and that's what created the image...
No one has ever been on their death-bed wishing they'd been more practical...

I guess I'll be the first one to say that if Jesus were building a BTO, it looks like he'd choose ovangkol for the back and sides. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me  ;D

The image, which appears to be sporting  a pencil thin mustache, looks more like Vincent Price than anyone else to me. Of course, though I have some idea of what folks around the Sea of Galilee looked like two thousand years ago, I don't know the countenance of any individual from that time.
