Do you guys with the H4n's find them easy to use?  I can't remember the brand and model I read about on Amazon, but there was something like 32 very non-intuitive steps you have to go through in order to make a multitrack recording.

Well, I consider myself a moderately savy guy when it comes to computer stuff.

To give you an indication of how easy the Zoom HN4 is to operate, I got mine yesterday and after a half hour I had recorded a plain stereo file of me and my guitar (about 15 minutes out of the box) and a 3-track overdub of my guitar on one track thru the ES and me singing 2 other separate tracks. Definitely did NOT take 32 steps. Or 32 minutes for that matter.

I will say the documentation is not well written. Confusing at times but with the device in hand it is very easy to figure out what they are trying to say.

The internal mics are impressive. I still want to get a large diaphragm condenser mic for vocals but I think this little handheld is going to be the ticket for a starter recording system.
