Update

Taylor have been in touch this morning and are going to send a pre-cut and sanded saddle from their repair shop. I am to return the original.

More than happy with that solution.

Now THAT'S excellent customer service! Kudos to Taylor! ;D

I'm glad everything worked out well for you and that you can have a Taylor saddle to go with your Taylor guitar. I have Bob Colosi's WAHI saddle, and the tone is quite different than bone. Tone is purely subjective so it's not that one is better than another. I liked the bone in my 914ce and always left the original in it until I sold the guitar. I tried out the WAHI in a less than stellar-sounding Ibanez acoustic/electric, and I will say it made a HUGE change for the better! It is such an improvement in its tone from the original man-made ivory Ibanez used, and the Taylor sized saddle is an exact match.

A good post Eddie. That pic really shows the 'wave' very nicely.    Bill
