Always very sad when someone dies so young; although I was never a great fan, there is no doubt she was an extremely talented lady who had a wonderful voice.

She had a somewhat troubled life at times, something not reserved just for the rich and famous. A number of years ago I had a niece die through alcoholism, so I have sympathy for anyone who struggles with addiction, and for those who love them.

My sympathy tonight will be for her loved ones, especially her young daughter.

My condolences Saxacat for your niece - it is tragic when a life is lost to substance abuse.

Crack is whack.  Isn't that what she said?  So sad... :-[
