New to forum.  Here's my 1978 Lemon Grove 510. I'm the second owner and have had it since ~ 1980 Added a new burl truss rod cover to spice it up recently.  Also have a 1968 Manolo Rodriguez classical which is sweet.  Thinking of getting another Taylor with a body size a bit smaller than the Dreadknot 510 and the classical.  Soo many choices!

Hey there - welcome to the forum - very friendly and helpful group of folks here

What an excellent piece of Taylor history you have there!  I'd be curious to see where you got it as even in 1978-1980 I think Taylor's distribution was still in its infancy.

Thanks for the responses.  I bought this guitar used in ~ 1980 from a local shop in Greensboro, NC.  Always wanted a Martin HD-28 in those days as I played alot of flatpicking and a bit of fingerstyle but could not afford one.  Came across this used Taylor and was blown away with the sound and playability.  If I remember correctly, it was around $450 which was a stretch for me at that time.   Sold a banjo, Yamaha F-160, and Alverez 12 string at the time to be able to purchase.  So glad I did.  It's still in great shape, minus a few cosmetic character marks and I love how much the Engleman top has aged and opened over the years.  Almost looks as dark as cedar at this point.
