Hey from Carolina and NTGD
« on: June 11, 2020, 08:51:47 PM »
Hello UTGF-

As I sit right on the border I claim 'em both.

Happy to find this nice forum, and even happier that I joined the club yesterday with my dream acoustic, a K24ce Builder's Edition.  My wife is so cool.

I had a Big Baby Taylor in the past and I really liked it.  I traded in a PRS A55E for this one, and it is night and day different, better, smoother, prettier, tonier and any other superlative you can think of, it is!

I have never felt a more comfortable neck on an acoustic or electric.  I totally love the figuring on this guitar too.  It is just subtle enough for me as I am not too into the flashy look and this one is a bit more understated as far as some Koa guitars go.  I like the highly figured and bright ones too, I just don't think I could pull it off.  It is heavier for an acoustic.

I'm so not worthy of this guitar.  Been playing around for years, been playing in earnest for 5, just started learning theory this year, and the worm has turned since!  I would say I'm mostly an electric player as I like rock the most, but I am really starting to enjoy Travis picking songs on acoustic.  FWIW, I haven't picked up an electric in the 2 days I've had the new Taylor.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks everyone.   Already learning from this forum.  Bought a Shubb brass capo based on forum insights.  Sooooo much better and gentler than my spring capo.  I binned it.  Don't want it anywhere near my baby!

Gorgeous K24BE Chris!  I am stunned by the playability and sound of my new K14BE and  I'm certain I am much less worthy than you but oh sooooo inspired! Your's is beautifully appointed.  Have a great day pickin'

Thanks Cam!  Inspiration is where it's at!  Even if I am not worthy, the look and feel inspire me to play, and that is cool (and worth every penny).
