...what non-guitar instrument would you like to see them have a go at?

I tend to think Taylor would make some awesome A-style mandolins.

You're darn right!   ;D

The last couple of months I have been debating on whether to learn the ukulele or the mandolin...I think the ukulele will win out....   :)

There are plenty of possibilities. How about a harp guitar? Or a double bass? Or a cittern, a blast from the past?

Didn't I read that Bob's got a Classical in the works?  They've got the slotted headstock down already so this can't be far behind.

I think they'd classify as guitars ;) but yes, they're going to re-launch the classical line and it will definitely be interesting to see what Taylor does with a more traditional design now that they've phased the nylon models into the acoustic/electric line.

i agree that a mandolin would be a great instrument (imho) for Taylor to offer in the future,
in both A- style & F-style, with some 'modernized' aesthetic cues adapted from their guitars :)

also, i hope the finish process that was developed for use on classical guitars
will be allowed to 'trickle-down' & offered as an option for BTO guitars as well :D
