Title: V shaped neck carve?
Post by: Rogerb on December 12, 2018, 01:08:08 PM
My recently acquired 510e has a great feeling neck.  It is a short scale, soft V, 1-3/4 nut width, with a slotted headstock. I am wondering if there are other Taylor models out there (new or past models) that have this soft V neck carve.  I absolutely love the feel of this neck, and really don’t get along well with shallow necks.

I’d love to find a 12 fret model in mahogany or perhaps maple.  Any ideas?

Thanks,
Roger

Give the 322 12 fret a look. . .

Paper strips on the 1st and 2nd fret to give you an idea. The 322 is hog top, blackwood back and sides. Great playing guitar, great tone.

I will say the V carve is the best Taylor neck I've played - the reason I still have my 710e and sold the other two Taylors (with standard carve) I've owned.
