Sometimes I'll get an idea for something on my guitar, like a short lick or something, but don't have my guitar with me to work it out on. I'm hoping to find an iPhone app with a keyboard that also records what you play on it so I can work it out and record it to remember. Does anybody use anything like this or know of a good app to use? I've already looked around a bit but haven't found anything that really fits the bill yet.
Thanks

I hear of musicians frequently talking about just grabbing their phone and singing into it to remember ideas to elaborate on at a latter time.
I'd like to find an app myself but currently just use the " voice memo" that comes with it

Thanks knuckle. I just now saw your reply. I ended up finding a piano/keyboard app called Real Piano. It cost about three dollars and you can record anything you do on the keyboard. Even have an option to make it sound like a guitar but I don't think it's very good. Maybe you want to check that out. Up till now I had just been using my iPhone's voice recorder like you.

Yes I grab my phone and sing maybe one line, maybe more. For the music I try to always have pencil and paper close
