This First Edition cutaway Grand Concert celebrates the debut of our revoiced maple/spruce 600 Series. The tone has been refined to be richer, warmer and more complex, adding extra depth to the Grand Concert body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. Tone-enhancing strokes include a new back bracing profile, a torrefied (specially roasted) top that yields wonderfully aged tonal character, protein glues that optimize the tonal transfer, and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to enhance the acoustic resonance.
Together with a hand-friendly short-scale neck, the 612ce sounds and plays like a dream. A hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance. Featured appointments include new grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlays, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with grained ivoroid purfling, an ebony/grained ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, with Taylor’s stage-ready Expression System® 2 pickup onboard.
Exclusive First Edition features include Adirondack spruce braces for a splash of extra tonal output, a headstock inlay, a First Edition guitar label, and a commemorative First Edition nameplate on the deluxe hardshell case.
This guitar has been kept humidified, in its case, is in pristine condition and is an absolute joy to play. It is an EXCEPTIONAL finger-style guitar!
