My Wife just bought me a new 214sb. I'm a lucky man to have a Wife like mine. I'm very excited and my Mini wont be alone for long.
I'll post pics when she gets here.

Congrats, Jimmer-
You're gonna love that 214, especially with the sunburst top. Enjoy!
-
Congratulations. I too have a wife who bought me a Taylor(a custom GC for my impending Medicare-eligibility birthday). When they're good, they're really good.

Cool for you, Jimmer. Some of us are fortunate to have supportive spouses who buy us new Taylors (me included). Congrats on your new guitar.....a nice companion for your GSM.

I'll post pics when it gets here if I can put it down long enough. Fedx said it should be here Saturday.

Jimmer, congratulations. I love the sunburst. Steppy happens to have a few extra sets of strings around his place somewhere. :)
-
Why is it that I like the 214s Burst over the 714 Vintage burst . or even the 800s...? It's differant.
kinda looks like a Gibson's ??? Not sure.
Thank the wife , looks like a winner. Enjoy that one :)
-
Thanks Gang
I love my mini I will probably never part with it. But this thing has shed a new light on my on going love affair with Taylor guitars.
I didn't think a laminate rosewood could smell so good.
Sorry about the pics they don't do the guitar justice.
Thanks again

That's a classic-looking beauty you have there - the non-cutaway shape, sunburst finish and pickguard all come togther to create some nice mojo. Congrats and enjoy!
-
Just as I thought...FANTASTIC!!! Enjoy my friend. Taylor sure does a nice sunburst!!
-
beautiful Jimmer ! i love that burst ! hmm.... some gold Gotoh tuners to really bring out the burst?
oh..we are just horrible here aren't we ??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Nice looking Taylor! Have fun!
-
I looked really hard at that model before I got my 316ce. That sunburst is really sweet. Congrats!

I got mine from my wife too... 214ce sb dlx
-
very nice, I like the burst.
-
I want to thank everyone for your wonderful comments and support.
I do have a question you guys could probably help me with. The 214 comes with a gig bag as we all know. It's a very nice gig bag however I would like to get a humidity control device. Is the gig bag adequate for humidity control? Or should I just go get a hard case?
I live in South Florida.
Thanks again
Jim

A hard case will always be better for humidity control.
That being said, living in south FL make sur your guitar doesn't get too much humidity. ;)
-
Very nice burst...enjoy. Your wife is sure a keeper... :)
-
hard cases are better at confining humidity but the gigbag does a pretty good job too.
