Title: Hi guys new member from California looking for short scale 80s/90s Taylor's
Post by: Davidsfavoritetaylor810 on August 30, 2021, 04:03:04 AM
Hi first time in the forum and first post.
I mostly like 90s and 80s Taylor's
I've had 5 total but only have 2 for now.
I have small hands so the skinnier necks from the older models are my favorite so far. I have tried the newer models but my hands get cramped up and get tired more easily lol even though I do like some of the newer taylor builders editions they aren't build for me.
Still looking for that one taylor to rule them all, I've been looking for a 812/814 or 912/914 from the 90s with a short scale length and 1-11/16 nut.
Hopefully a member here will have this mythical guitar I've been looking for so long lol
Hope everyone is doing good
Thank you for your time

Welcome aboard.  I am a huge fan of the mid 90s Taylors. Had dozens over the years...
Sorry to report, they did not make short scale axes until after the NT necks started in 2000.
About 1998 Bob T once told me, "No one wants a short scale guitar!"
But he is a tall man...

Fortunately the narrow necks of the "golden age" Taylors do FEEL shorter.

Cheers

Paul
