Hello Fellow Taylor Fans!
I'm new to the forum, but am a 20 year Taylor owner. I started playing guitar as a kid in the 70s, then dropped it when adulthood got in the way. I decided to get a decent acoustic guitar in 2000. A coworker told me to check out Taylors, which I'd never heard of at that point. I went to a local shop and tried out a few brands, including Martin and Taylors. I liked the Taylors much better than the others. I thought the 414ce was great, then I tried the 814c and it blew me away. I couldn't believe the great sound and how playable it was. So I set out hoping to spend $700 at most on a guitar, and ended up spending almost $2000. But I don't regret it. The 814ce is phenomenal.
Now, in my late 50s, I'm finally expanding the collection. I just bought my second Taylor, over 20 years after the first. I've always wanted to try 12 string, so bought a used 355ce. It just arrived today, and I haven't even opened it yet, waiting for it acclimate to room temperature. I can't wait to try it out -- although I already am thinking maybe I should have got the 356ce instead....
I fully admit to being a Taylor fan-boy. I think their products - and their marketing - are excellent.

Welcome to the forum! You will find some very helpful, kind people here.
I've never played a Taylor jumbo 12-string but owned a 562ce for a while and absolutely loved it. I only sold it because I also have a Gibson SJ-200 12-string and don't see the need for more than one 12-er.
Hope you enjoy your new acquisition!

Welcome. My first Taylor 12 string was a 355. Quite a voice on it! Give it a try, at least. Maybe you can add a second 12 string to the collection ;), it's all about your needs/wants in a 12 string.

I opened it up last night after giving it a few hours to adjust, and I really like it. I thought the jumbo body might be too big and awkward, but it seems fine.
This is also my first acoustic/electric, so looking forward to experimenting with that also!
